Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly called Jessie J, is a known English artist and singer. Jessie gained fame early for her distinct style of music, which is a blend of soul, pop, hip-hop, and electropop. Alongside her numerous accolades, she was nominated for the 2011 "Critics' Choice Brit Award" as well as the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her music career got underway at age 11 as Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in his musical Whistle Down the Wind. She was in 2002 when she was featured as a part of the "National Youth Theater" production of "The Late Sleepers." The album she released her debut "Who You Are" was released in February 2011. She became famous that year. It was a massive hit, with 105,000 copies sold in the UK, and three thousand copies across the US, within the first week after its release. The album also ranked at number two on the 'UK Albums Chart,' and as number 11 on American Billboard 200.' Jessie is also famous for her work with charities and is involved with charities like Children in Need' and 'Comic Relief.'
